Caregiving Is Wearing Me Out! Strategies for Managing Caregiver Fatigue

On February 9th, ACAP-Hickory is offering a program for adult-child caregivers of aging parents and other family caregivers titled “Caregiving is Wearing Me Out!” The speaker will be Dr. Adina Gabor-Gagea, Psy.D., Psychologist with Broughton Hospital and Brian Hissom & Associates. The program will be held on February 9th from 5:30pm – 7:00p, at Patrick Beaver Library in Hickory. This program is sponsored by Brian Hissom & Associates and BAYADA Home Health Care. In addition, Rock Barn Spa has donated door prizes for two lucky participants.
The program will help adult-child and other family caregivers: 1) recognize and understand signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue, and 2) develop strategies for balancing caregiving responsibilities with caring for their own needs.

ACAP-Hickory meets the second Tuesday of every month, 5:30-pm – 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church (2780 North Center Street, Hickory).
