HICKORY, N.C. — Adult Children of Aging Parents of Hickory will present “A Life-Changing Day: When a Parent Stops Driving” on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 5:30-7 p.m., in the fellowship hall of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Hickory.
One of the most dreaded conversations aging parents and adult-children anticipate is the one about a parent’s driving and/or the possibility of retiring from driving. While adjustments may be all that are needed at one point, there may come a time that continued driving simply is not safe — for the parent or for others.
