Please join us in welcoming back some of our knowledgeable speakers from the past year, who will be participating in a group Q&A session and an engaging discussion about caring for our aging loved ones. The Leadership Team of the Winston-Salem chapter of ACAP looks forward to sharing food, fellowship, and festivities with you all!

In this ACAP program, participants will learn about the effects of stress and burnout on caregivers and how to balance wellness amongst the various facets of our lives while caring for others.

Become a more informed advocate for your parents' health care and service coverage. This program will help participants understand Medicare and SHIIP programs that may offer benefits to aging parents and others.

Participants in this program will learn about communication changes related to dementia, understand the value of “entering” into their loved one’s “world,” and develop strategies for communication with their loved one throughout the course of the disease.

This program will help adult children understand the concept of aging in place, assess their parents’ homes for safety and accessibility concerns, and become familiar with potential home remodeling and modifications that can help make their parents’ dreams reality.
