Managing Medications for Aging Parents: A Caregivers Guide

Help your aging parents manage their medications effectively.  Learn to prevent medication errors and non-compliance through practical strategies, improving their health and independence.  Empower yourself with knowledge to reduce hospitalizations and declining medical conditions.  Join us for better peace of mind and effective care. Patricia Talburtt will talk about: How to recognize the relationship between aging, missed medications, medication errors, and non-compliance. How to employ strategies to assess a parent’s physical, mental and environmental risk factors for missed medications, medication errors, and non-compliance. How to employ specific and practical tips for preventing missed medications, medication errors, and non-compliance in the home and in the community, including online and electronic devices. Other topics: pill splitting, electronic pill boxes, prepackaged blister packs from the pharmacy, and apps for identifying pills.
