1.3 Financial Information for Chapter Establishment

The two initial activities when beginning an ACAP chapter are to secure the Leadership Team and to raise the funds to cover the Chapter Establishment Fee.

Chapter Establishment Fee

The initial cost to establish an ACAP chapter is $5,000. In order to participate in a Leadership Team training and receive materials needed to begin an ACAP chapter, ACAPcommunity must receive the entire Chapter Establishment Fee. Of the $5,000:

  • $3,000 provides for access to ACAP’s intellectual property (Chapter Guide, Curriculum, and ongoing coaching)
  • $2,000 covers the Start-Up Kit that includes the chapter banner, Leadership Team name badges and tumblers, outdoor signs, table coverings, program participant name tags, printed 6-month schedule, and setting up the chapter’s digital marketing (web page, email platform, and social media)

Sponsorships

Core and Chapter sponsorships cover the Chapter Establishment fee.  The Chapter Coordinator, possibly with the assistance of members of the Leadership Team, will engage local senior services businesses, agencies, and organizations to provide financial support for the chapter’s beginning. Although the chapter may determine the details they believe are appropriate for their area, ACAP recommends consideration of:
